The Book Sale

In June, we hold our annual Book Sale.  Proceeds from past sales have purchased the benches and bicycle rack by the lower entrance, folding chairs and an annual library membership to the New England Genealogical and Historical Society.

A Member Preview is held the day before our Book Sale; each family member may buy up to 50 books.

Location: Bangor Elks Club, 108 Odlin Rd

Thank you to everyone who supported the 2017 sale! Information will be posted in 2018 about the 2018 sale.

Book donations are no longer being accepted.

**Donations will begin being accepted again in January of 2018**

Anyone who gave us books for last year’s Book Sale should go to the Library and take a seat on one of the eight rocking chairs or check out the window shades in the Local History Department your books helped purchase.

The Summer Picnic
The picnic is our 'Thank you' to the library staff and volunteers.  All members of the Friends are welcome to participate in this small gesture of our appreciation to those who serve the public so well throughout the year.

We Manage the Masonic Bikes for Books
The Masons will donate 48 bikes to the Summer Reading Program. Any child who participates in the Summer Reading Program will be entered in to a drawing for a chance to win a brand new bicycle and safety helmet, generously donated by the Rising Virtue # 10 Masonic Lodge!  The bicycles will be given away on Thursday, August 10th, 2017!
