Behind every good fiber artist is a book! Well, okay,
many books. This is the premise underlying our 3rd Fiber
Arts in the Library Exhibition, back by popular demand
on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 from 9 AM- 3:30 PM.
Whether you are looking for a new hobby, wanting to know
the books the experts use, or just like gawking as
artists demonstrate their craft, come visit the Library
for this special event.
From the Lecture Hall to the Children's Room, scattered
throughout the Library, 30+ area artists and artisans
will be demonstrating everything from Japanese
embroidery to rag rugs. Come talk to the folks
about how they got started and their special techniques.
Bring the children to felt a ball, try their hand at
knitting or just for a "big dose" of inspiration.
There will be plenty of new artists as well as your
favorites. |
