In 1911 the Bangor Fire
department was composed of about 40 paid firemen.
21 Horses
4 Steam
Pumpers ( two were unserviceable*)
1 ladder truck
2 hose
wagons
1 combination hose and chemical wagon
*These two pumpers were built in 1861 and 1865, and were
worn out.

The Central Fire station was at 54 Harlow Street.
The Central station burned in the 1911 fire. The Champion Hook & Ladder Company was located there.
