Gmail 101

Learn email skills crucial for staying connected in today's world! Must have a Gmail account created PRIOR to start of class* You'll learn to view emails, add contacts and download attachments, compose, send, and reply to messages, attach a photo or document, organize your mail into folders, and more.


New Ebook/Audiobook Service

March 2017
Throughout the month of March we will offer five classes to help you transition to our new ebook/audiobook service, 3M Cloud Library.

Tuesday March 7th, 2-4pm

Thursday March 16th, 6-8pm

Transparent Language

Tuesday, April 25th, 2017
2-4pm in the Tech Lab on the 1st floor

This class will help you get set up and start learning a new language or brush up on one you already know. You will need a current library card to login.

Transparent Language has:

Over 95 different languages, with 1,500 to 2,000 words and phrases for every language; English learning for speakers of 25+ languages, including intermediate-level immersion courses; A flexible learning structure, including supplemental learning material and dozens of learning activities designed to engage your brain for rapid learning and maximum retention; Access to the full site on any PC, Mac, or tablet Learning on the go via the Transparent Language app for iPhone and AndroidTM devices; Culture and social connections for a full learning experience

Google Drive 101

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017
2-4pm in the Tech Lab on the 1st floor

Take your basic skills to the next level with Google Drive. You will learn how to save files online using your Gmail login and see how to access Google's word processor so you can create documents on any computer/tablet and even your smart phone.

You must have a Gmail address prior to the class. No registration required.

Get comfortable and confident with computers at the Bangor Public Library's Computer Lab sessions
Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00pm

Struggling with that new tablet? Need help setting up an email account? Curious about using our online catalog of ebooks and audio books? Come on by with your questions; bring your laptop, e-reader, tablet, or smart phone; or we can use the library computers to get you up and running.
