Open Computer Lab Sessions Get comfortable and confident with computers with the Bangor Public Library’s Computer Lab sessions on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and Friday mornings from 10:00-11:30 AM. The Library’s BTOP Computer Lab sessions will start on July 6. While the Library also offers classes, this new service will provide time for independent instruction. A reference librarian will stay nearby to offer assistance.The Open Computer Lab takes walk-ins and does not require registration. This time can be used to practice basic computer skills, improve internet and database searches, or hone test taking abilities with practice exams and tutorials. Visitors to the Library use these computers to fulfill many different needs, such as completing an online job application, practicing an EMT test, opening email accounts, or improving their job searches. This program will run throughout the summer, so stop by the Library to practice at your own pace. |
