MEET THE
AUTHOR: Spring 2010

Best selling author
Sarah Graves brings us her latest "Home Repair is
Homicide" mystery
Authors are as welcome as the flowers of
spring, and we have an exciting lineup of visitors
on the way. In March, Massachusetts author Steven
Pinkham, author of
The
Mountains of Maine, shares the secrets of how
many of Maine's mountains and hills got their
unusual names. He also brings many valuable tips on
how best to enjoy trekking in Maine's wilderness.
On March 20, the Library's own Camara Bragdon
will speak about her new novel,
Friend of
the Undead. Heroine Shelly Anderson, a
librarian (and why not!) inhabits the exotic world
of Zephyr. Among her friends is Eddie Van Helsing
who, yes...that name should ring a bell, is a
vampire. Come learn from Ms. Bragdon about her
venture into fantasy writing.
At the end of March, University of Maine
professor, Dr. Robert Milardo, brings us
Forgotten
Kin, Aunts and Uncles. Dr. Milardo reminds
us, there is a special bond between aunts and
uncles, nephews and nieces.
In April, best-selling mystery writer, Maine's
Sarah Graves brings us her latest,
Crawl Space.
Ms. Graves treats her fans to another Jacobia (Jake)
Tipton mystery, this time offering a new
investigation of on an old murder that stirs up big
trouble in Eastport, Maine. Played out against the
usual amusing backdrop of the nightmares city
slickers encounter when they decide to restore a
"fixer-upper," Ms. Graves once again shows that
there's nothing dull about life in a small town in
downeast coastal Maine.
